Avram's First Instruction, Emigration, and the Initial Test #21stCenturyTargum

Reality made its idea known to Avram: "Go away from your land, from your birthplace, and from your father's household, to the land that I will show you.  I will make you into a great nation. I will make you appreciated and I will make you great. You will become a source of appreciation.  I will make appreciated those who appreciate you and I will cause detriment to whomever denigrates you. All the families of the earth will be appreciated through you."  Avram went according to this idea of Reality and Lot went with him. Avram was 75 years old when he left Haran.  Avram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all their belongings (as well as the people they had awakened to their selfhood) and they left, heading for Kana'an. When they came to Kana'an, Avram passed through the land as far as the area of Shekhem, coming to the Plain of Moreh; the Kana'anites were then in the land.  Reality was perceived by Avram and it made its idea known to him: "I will give this land to your offspring." He built an altar there to Reality, who had made its idea known to him.  From there he moved on to the mountains east of Bethel. He set up his tent with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. He built an altar there and proclaimed the idea of Reality.  Avram continued on his journey, travelling steadily toward the south.

There was a famine in the land. Avram emigrated south to Egypt to immigrate there, since the famine had grown very severe in the land.  As they approached Egypt, he made his idea known to his wife Sarai: "I realize that you are a beautiful woman.  When the Egyptians see you, they will make it known that you are my wife and kill me, allowing you to live.  If you would, make it known that you are my sister. They will then be good to me for your sake, and through your efforts, my life will be spared."
